Artificial Intelligence is Sending Shockwaves Throughout our Educational System
In these transformative times, Vermont educators need the knowledge to use AI effectively in their practice and to empower students to navigate these technologies safely, productively, and responsibly.
aiVermont is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering tomorrow's workforce by building Vermont students' AI literacy.
56% percent of teachers and leaders surveyed anticipate the use of AI in education to rise.
Only 1 in 10 teachers know enough about AI to teach it or use it to some degree in their work.
87% percent of teachers said they had received no professional development training on how to use AI in their work.
"AI is the most powerful technology humanity has ever created and it’s being deployed faster than any other tech in history."
Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology from ON with Kara Swisher June 2, 2023
